Office Professional Plus 2016 for Windows Office Professional Plus 2019 for Windows The license covers the following versions of Office: The Volume Licensed Edition of Microsoft Office is authorized only for installation onto Cornell-owned computers. We strongly recommend that you work with your local department IT support provider before installing any software onto your Cornell-provided computer. This edition is best suited for departments that enforce version control via a managed desktop service, or for computers that are not assigned to a specific customer, such as shared-use machines, kiosks, and computers in public-use labs. The Volume License Edition is a distinct version of Office that has fewer features and is not updated as frequently as the Office 365 edition. Your department may have have different recommendations.Ĭornell University has a separate license for the Volume License Edition Microsoft Office.
Please check with your local department's IT support provider before attempting to install Microsoft software onto your Cornell-provided computer. At this time, we recommend that Cornell faculty and staff use the Office 365 Pro Plus edition of Microsoft Office for their Cornell-provided and personally-owned computers.
